Real Housewives or Real Shameless old women?

These Housewives of Atlanta are becoming nothing more than old women with "husbands" and children exhibiting their craziness on national TV. What on earth is wrong with these old women? Do they really have any respect for their families? And even if their husbands don't care, do they ever think about the effect their showcase of stupidity has on their kids? And Nene....that lady has to be the most annoying personality on American TV..and to think she's gained a lot of attention since the show's first season. Watch Nene and Kim acting all stupid again. Wait...does she really have a book? And people are buying it? Woow!!!!! First, it was Karren Steffans having a bestseller, now another low life? C'mon America, who are these people we are learning from?

Hamas vs. AlQaeda?

Are Hamas and AlQaeda really at war? Did CNN report this as a major headline? Erm...not quite sure. BBC News has reported that some members of Hamas engaged in a fierce gun battle with members of AlQaeda at a Gaza mosque yesterday. it is reported that at least 13 people were killed and 85 injured. This is news that we'll keep an eye on and bring updates as we get more information. In the meantime, here's the story on BBC.

Has anyone seen the movie District 9 yet? I hear it's an amazing movie so far and judging from movie critic site, Rottentomatoes.com, an 88% rating is an excellent score (those familiar with the site know what I'm talking about). That said, I think the buzz has been strong enough and I should go see it this weekend.
The movie takes place in South Africa and was actually directed by South African born, Neill Blomkamp. Sci-fi movies with Aliens are not always the best, but in this case, I hear this movie takes a different direction and is really worth every dollar, pound, yen, franc or whatever currency that there is. Women Changing Names After Marriage!!!

So yeah...this topic has been a hot one for a while now. Surprisingly though, because a few decades back, (and this is not an attempt to play the Chauvinist or promote any male ego)this topic will not even earn a spot in any debate. The basics were clear: "if you marry a man, you are meant to take on his last name and drop yours." Recently, that story has changed. While some women are indifferent to the idea, a few emerging ones are not forfeiting their name for no man or marriage. So here's my question to the women, "If you are not willing to change your last name, are you ready to lose your marriage to your man if he insists that you answer his?" And for the men "Will you call off the wedding if your wife insists she's keeping her last name and not using yours after you guys get married?"
Nowadays, a good option may be to include both names in the woman's last name so that the woman answers her maiden name followed by a hyphen and then the man's name? But even with that, some women and men still have issues with this option.

Air Collision Video Footage!!

Last Saturday, a tourist Helicopter and a small jet collided in mid-air during the early hours of the afternoon. All nine people onboard both air vehicles were confirmed dead, including a number of them who were tourists from Italy. The footage of the crash was released yesterday. It's so unfortunate that such things should still be happening in 2009. What's been most annoying about the incident is how anytime a tragic incident occurs, the government begin to talk about enacting new laws that avoid the future occurrence of such incidence. Does it not sound stupid that all this while, there weren't strong traffic control systems that handle planes traveling in mid-air? I think it sounds really crazy. Now the Senate and all those involved want to begin to introduce new crazy laws. Reminds me of the attempted airline terrorist attack a few years ago where the terrorist intended to use liquid explosives to blow up planes. After that, the laws came in and till date, I have lost over three of my best colognes to freaking TSAs at the airport. I wonder the cosmetics that all these women have to let go because of such dumb rules. Doh!!!!...they've been caught once. It will take the dumbest terrorists to think about suck attack again in the next 30 years. Anyways, I forgot...we live in the United States of America where anything can happen. So I shouldn't be surprised. Back to air crash, the lesson learnt should be this: things like these really need to be avoided, not only when they occur, but should be pre-addressed before anyone loses their life. Now nine lives have sacrificed themselves before the freaking folks in charge can take note of the dangers involved in an absence of mid-air traffic control.

Brad for Mayor?

Arnold did it..he's a governor today..lol!!!! Brad doesn't seem ready to walk the same lines though. These days, it's not rare to find celebrities venturing into politics. Brad Pitt has done a lot for New Orleans and maybe it's about time he takes on a bigger responsibility but he doesn't sound so enthusiastic about the idea. Anyway Brad, do you!!! You're already doing a great things for many others and that's all that matters--affect lives in a positive way.

7 Billion Strong!!!!!

The World's population is estimated at 6 billion people presently with India and China making one-third of its population. New forecasts by the Population Reference Bureau project that the world's population will hit the 7 billion mark by 2011 with most of the population increase coming from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. So are we supposed to be happy, sad or care less? Scientifically and economically, there may be some need to worry but for World Jargon, it only means more crazy stuff to write about...lol!!!!! Arrrrrrrrrgggghhh!!! I'm paying too much to own a cell phone!!!!

My cell phone bill for the upcoming month has not been paid and somehow, I think I may not be able to make that payment on time, so all friends, family and business partners note: When you call me and you get the message "The subscriber is not receiving calls at this time," Plleeeeeaaaaseeee bear with me. I pay $65 a month on my phone bill and though I think the price is ridiculous, others pay even more so I can't complain. But really, is it not a shame that we who live in the United States pay about five times what some people living in Europe pay for their cell phone service? I think it really is so sad!!!! it is reported that Americans pay about five times what people in the Netherlands, Sweden and some other parts of Europe pay. Read Article here.

So by now, I'm extremely fed up with the back and forth deliberations concerning Health Care reform. I'm sure many of us are but just when you think you've had enough, BAMMM!!!! Comedian Jon Stewart brings you back to life. Earlier, I had planned on blogging about the man who came to a Presidential town hall meeting with a loaded gun but trust Jon Stewart, he definitely does the job better. On a side note, can we really come to a consensus on Health Care reform already? Seriously!!!!!

Who knows better?

Isn't this what media coverage should be all about, especially when it patterns to Global reporting. It's apparent that media bias will always be inevitable but BBC's World News initiative called "My Country" is certainly a move on the right path. Maybe CNN and other major media entities should learn something from them. Truth is "When it comes to understanding a country, there is nothing like an insider’s view" and hey...thank goodness, BBC is beginning to understand this. And maybe we still need to redefine "insider" as used in this context cos "insider" may imply many things. But yeah, definitely a start in a good direction.

Can someone seriously tell me why we should give one hoot about the Kardashians? None of these sisters or their brother do anything that warrants celeb status. They don't sing, act in movies, do radio or anything that shows any kind of talent (Well, apart from Kim Kardashian's potential pornstar talents which are even questionable judging from her sextape). So why should we continue to be bombarded with all the nonsense from the Kardashians? Like Kim breaks up with Reggie Bush and Kourtney gets pregnant? Are you really serious? Even CNN has Kourtney's pregnancy story on its headlines. This is absolutely madness. oooh..maybe we can give the some points from their reality TV shows but erm...reality TV doesn't require any talent I guess. Once you can have the potential to be naturally stupid, you can get a shot at reality TV and be successful in it. Kim, Kourtney and Khloe need to take a break and sit their a*^ down somewhere. The "Hate" goes on!!!

Erm..Somehow it seems that ever since the inauguration of President Obama, some so-called extremist are finding it hard to live with the idea of an African-American President. Since January this year, there have been reported series of hate comments, messages or actions against blacks and minorities occurring at a larger pace than before and it seems the hate just keeps getting worse.
In one story Congressman David Scott of Georgia was greeted with a Swastika on his office sign and received strong hate messages calling him a "Nigger" and President Obama a "Marxist". For those that don't know what a Swastika is, the swastika was used as an official emblem of the Nazi Party, and is sometimes used by modern Neo-Nazis.
In another related story, a city council member was reprimanded for forwarding very strong offensive series of emails that were racist in nature. One of them included an assassination attempt on President Obama and attacks on Illegal Immigrants. Check video here.
Can someone seriously tell these folks to start living with the times? Seriously, we've moved past the 50s and 60s even if we still live through the times (You know what I mean)

Too good to be True TV deal!!!

Imagine you are browsing the internet searching for a good deal on a flat screen TV and you bump into one going for less than $10? Seriously? What would you do? Sure, first thing that comes to your mind will be "this has to be a scam." But imagine if that deal was found on a top retailer website?
Well, some online shoppers found the amazing deal on electronic retail giant, Bestbuy's website and (trust Americans in a recession)everyone jumped on the deal. $9.99 for a 52 inch flat screen TV? Hell No!! Bestbuy finally realized the "too good to be true" price was placed on the item and took it down immediately. I personally would have ordered 20 immediately and even if Bestbuy say they do not intend to honor the deal, we would have had to work something out. C'mon Bestbuy!!!!!

Don't get Ms. Secretary of State Mad at You!!!!

Tell these people that the Secretary of State is Hillary Clinton and not "Billary". As some of us already know, Mrs. Secretary of State was on a trip to the African continent recently. In one of her town hall meetings in Congo, she was asked about her husband's views on an issue related to her position as Secretary of State and immediately she tore up, hiding no signs of her irritation over the question. "Wait!!! You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? My Husband is not the Secretary of State; I am."

R&B Sensation has just confirmed to the world that she's not tired of making 80 million dollar+ every year. Apparently she was in Japan promoting a new product when an earthquake struck. Solange's twitter account put Beyonce on Blast. She is not ready to see her life of fame and wealth come to an end.
